Minutes, reports, correspondence, clippings, and printed materials. Early records, 1886-1931, include historic sketches, programs, minutes, and reports. Records for 1931-1951 are fairly complete and contain minutes, financial reports, and monthly reports by the visiting nurse. Topics include the founding of the nursing school, Eleanor Hospital, and a tuberculosis hospital. Visiting nurse reports give details of the poverty in which some families were living.

Founded in 1876 as a group of women who took flowers to patients at Indianapolis City Hospital. Over the years the mission took on a number of projects, including founding a boys' home (1879); a nursing school (1883); Eleanor Hospital (1895) for children; and a tuberculosis hospital (1936).
